Pathfinder Deploy Services

Our Pathfinder Deployment Services help you successfully deploy new ICT and Electronic Safety and Security (ESS) solutions or applications. Our objective is to deploy your newly acquired technologies and products in a structured well-managed approach so as to:

  • Reduce delays, rework, and other problems during implementation
  • Decrease disruption to your production network during deployment
  • Realize business and technical goals of the new solution

Our project management methodology is adopted from PMI (Project Management Institute) templates. PMI is the world’s leading not-for-profit professional membership association for the project, program and portfolio management profession.

We are also guided by our Quality Assurance Manual and our HSE (Health, Security & Environment) Manual.

PathFinder Deploy consists of three services:

NPI (Network Physical Infrastructure) Installation and Certification

Network Physical Infrastructure (NPI) is the foundation upon which Information Technology (IT) and telecommunication networks reside. It is the “backbone” of the business, as its elements provide the. It includes: Campus Structured Cabling Solutions; Outside Plant Cabling: This include Singlemode Fibre cabling for Customer-Owned Private Network, Service Providers’ Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and Access Networks as well as Long-haul (Terrestrial) Networks. It covers underground, direct-buried, and aerial cable plant; Cabling pathways and Access floors and ceilings, Wiring/equipment cabinets and racks; UPS and Electrical (LV) Cabling for Clean (UPS) power; Cooling for the data centres and the wiring cabinets. This services are well described under our NPI solution pages. As a service, the materials are supplied by the client; ours is to the installation.

What do you get?
  1. Cabling and other NPI components installed, tested and certified to world-class standards
  2. Accurate O & M manuals incorporating: shop drawings, schematic drawings, AS-Built drawings, operating manuals and manufacturers’ documentations
  3. Documentation showing cable testing and certification results
  4. Proper Client /FM (Facility Manager) training
ICT and ESSS Active Component Installation and/or Configuration

This service is concerned with the aspects of actual physical installation and configuration of live network components, for example routers, switches, network operating systems and other software based products; CCTV, Access Control and other ESSS components; UC and Video conferencing system components. Here again the client would be the one to supplied all the items; ours is installation, configuration and testing.

There are three options:

Unqualified

This is a contract service whereby you purchase the skill set you believe you require. ICST Solutions will provide you with the skill set requested at the appropriate daily rate to perform work as specifically directed by you on the day.

Qualified

ICST Solutions will arrange a chargeable site visit where we will investigate and clarify what is required, and draw up a Terms of Reference document (TOR). Once this is completed you may further request us to do the installation in line with TOR document.

Project Manager

In instances of large multi-site roll outs ICST Solutions has the capacity to act as the project manager. The project manager will be responsible for drawing up a project plan to meet your requirements, submit a fixed cost to do the work, and act as the project manager during the deployment.
